Trump Doonbeg Managing Director Event


'Trump Doonbeg Managing Director - Talk by Joe Russell'

*WIN a Night at Trump Doonbeg - a free night at the 5* Hotel will be given out to one attendee*

Joe Russell is the MD of the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Co. Clare.

The Trump organisation purchased this 5-star property for €15 million in February 2014. During 2014 and 2015 €25 million was invested into upgrading the resort. The Lodge at Doonbeg consists of 218 hotel suites, a spa and several restaurants. 

Joe Russell will give a talk on Trump Doonbeg, his own career and the principles and values that drive a successful career and business.

FinTech Panel Discussion


The Finance Society is pleased to host, in conjunction with Bank of Ireland, a FinTech Panel Discussion on Thursday, 2nd of March at 6pm in the Siobhan McKenna Theatre (Arts Millennium Building) with four panellists: Peter Oakes, Cian Twomey, David Tighe and Suzanne Lynch.

FinTech is short for Financial Technology - the new and exciting technology transforming the financial services sector. Worldwide FinTech funding hit $15 billion by mid-August 2016. 

Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome to attend - from those of you who have next to no knowledge of FinTech but would be interested in finding out what words like bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency mean to those who are more advanced in their understanding of finance and technology.

An Evening with Declan Ganley


The NUI Galway Finance Society brings you the latest event in the Guest Speaker series, 'An Evening with Declan Ganley'.

Mr. Ganley is one of Ireland's most successful businessmen and entrepreneurs. As the chairman and CEO of Rivada Networks, he has an estimated net worth of €275 million.

Mr. Ganley will give advice on how to build a successful entreprenurial career.

He will addess topical issues such as the potential impact of Brexit and the Trump Presidency on Ireland and Global Trade.
